A little trip to Topshop Oxford Circus!

A couple of weeks ago I was in London for an interview, so whilst I was there, I took the essential, or shall we say obligatory trip to Topshop Oxford Circus.
Being from a small town, and small store, it's great to get the chance to see what Topshop exhibits on it's grandest scale, and of course it's newest of new offerings; and (As always) it has a lot to offer for Spring/Summer '13!

WINDOWS!
I love shop windows, especially those along Oxford street. They are the most creative and inspiring!
Topshop Oxford Circus windows currently showcase it's 21st Century Debutante trend - Ladylike fabrics, prints and tailored pieces, with contemporary dashes of fluro, and the odd masculine garment, all layered together with those signature quirky styling touches!

Here's some of the pieces I took into the fitting rooms, for a trying on session...

Decisions...
(My own: Brogues - Topshop, T-shirt - Topshop, Disco Pants - American Apparel)
Subconsciously my selection has a clear PINK theme, which seems to be coming through as a key colour for Spring/Summer '13. As is the continuation of dungarees, crop tops and grunge jumpers....

What I bought....

Grey baby cord dungarees

Bright pink grunge jumper

Multi breton stripe t-shirt dress

Today I wore...

My new 'vintage' skirt...

I found this skirt in one of my local charity shops for £2.99! I've been looking for a mid length floral skirt like this for a while now. This one is the perfect length for me, and I love the colours in the floral print :-)

Crop top -Topshop, Necklace H&M, Belt H&M, Bag H&M, Skirt - Salvation Army, Ankle Boots - New Look.

For a night out in London for my friends' Birthday, I teamed the skirt with a white Topshop crop top for an edgy, youthful look. As the skirt is very feminine, I also chose black heeled ankle boots, a black leather jacket and my black fringed shoulder bag, for a rocky element.

When the weather finally warms up, I'll probably style this midi with a tucked in breton t-shirt, tan leather cutaway pumps or converse and a leather jacket, for a Spring/Summer daytime look...

Today I Bought... New Vest - 'The Boys'

Yesterday I picked up this awesome new Swedish House Mafia vest in H&M for £9.99! I've seen Swedish House Mafia a couple of times, and just had to get this vest in homage to 'The Boys'.

As with all new things, i wore it out straight away for a night out in town with best friend, partner in crime and wingman. I teamed it with a strapless monochrome polka dot bra (as the vest drapes low), a statement necklace, black leather trousers, snakeskin clutch, black ankle boots, bright pink nails and
pinky/red lip :-)

Hope you all had a good weekend.

Today I wore...

My BARGAIN Topshop dress which I bought in the sale for.... £15!
I LOVE this dress. It's possibly my new current favourite dress in my wardrobe. Why? Because not only was it an absolute bargain, but it fits like a glove and makes me feel super sexy when I'm wearing it. It has become my go-to dress for a little more dressy occasions, such as my best friends birthday!
I have nicknamed it my 'D&G' dress, as it reminds me of the signature style of one of my favourite designers Dolce & Gabanna. The fit, built in bodice/bra top, print & colour resemble collections from the last few years and it's perfect to create that slinky italian look...

Dress - Topshop, Heels - Office, Clutch bag - H&M, Earrings Topshop,  Necklace - Accessorize, Watch - D&G,  Rings - Various.

Left to right: Dolce & Gabanna Spring Summer '12, Spring Summer '12, Autumn/Winter 11/12, Spring Summer '11, Spring Summer '10, Spring Summer 10.  Images from style.com

To add even more D&G glamour, I added super high black platform courts, oversized black clutch bag, large gold hoops, my 18th birthday D&G watch and of course, a bright red lip.

Clutch Bag - H&M, Watch - D&G, Earrings - Topshop, Lipstick - Rimmel Kate Moss.

Large Opal ring - Topshop, nails - Barry M 'Berry'
